Welcome!
Welcome everyone to Lakisha Jones Online! Lakisha is no doubt one of the strongest contender in American Idol Season 6. She has the potential to make it to the final two. However, let's not be too complaisant about it. We need to vote for her and give her that edge. American Idol should be about talent and popularity.

Fourth Placer on American Idol Six

Not bad for a vocal powerhouse. It's sad to see her leave this soon after Tuesday's performances where she did so much better than Blake. It's a lot tougher to vote someone off at this point since all four are very talented. And as Paula said she is sure all of them will get record deals.

There's no doubt in my mind that LaKisha Jones will achieve more success after 'Idol.' It's been a terrific season to see her since day one. Fans can look forward to seeing her on the American Idol 6 tour and the upcoming encores CD.

Good job to all the fans who voted her and got her this far. She's a wonderful talented woman and it's safe to say we'll be seeing more of her.

Good job LaKisha!

Bee Gees Week

LaKisha faired very well on Bee Gees week. Barry Gibb who served as guest music coach was impressed with LaKisha's singing talent.

LaKisha picked "Stayin' Alive" and "Run To Me" both by the Bee Gees. Her first performance was fabulous. She proved tonight she got spunk. Very very entertaining.

Her second performance was even better even if she got a bit hoarse at the end of the song. Which I didn't noticed until Randy pointed it out. But all three judges agreed that she did a lot better.

She has a very good chance of making it to the final three. And that is to Blake's expense who wasn't able to pull off his two songs.

Keep your fingers crossed, LaKisha is almost there!

Jon Bon Jovi mentors

Final six finalists performed with Bon Jovi as guest music coach. LaKisha picked "This Ain't a Love Song" by Bon Jovi. "This is a soul singer's song" said Bon Jovi. He was glad she found the track and have nothing but praise and reassurance for LaKisha. He said "This is an opportunity for her to shine." And reassured that she won't be leaving next week singing that song.

Indeed, LaKisha's performance was nothing less than fantastic. It was so perfect for her powerful vocals, it was amazing. So rivetting that it won huge praise from the audience and the judges. In particular, Simon Cowell said it made him want to kiss her after singing the song. And that he did. Ryan Seacrest let LaKisha off the stage and onto the judges' table where Simon was waiting. Then a kiss.

If her performance moved Simon that much to make him want to kiss her, what would the rest of America think? One thing's for sure, LaKisha will sail onto the next round!

Go LaKisha!

"Idol Gives Back"

American Idol dedicated tonight's episode for humaniatiran causes. The final six contestants picked songs of inspiration and hope. LaKisha picked "I Believe" by Fantasia Barrino, American Idol Season Three winner.

She looked so elegant and formal in her black gown. She showcased again her powerful vocals and and exquisite showmanship. It was very rivetting the audience gave her a standing ovation througout her performance. She gave the song the "LaKisha Flav" and it was fantastic.

It is sometimes confusing when judges disagrees with the audience so much. I've heard Fantasia's version and she too did belt this one out. LaKisha's version was controlled and awesome.

She did great and I hope fans voted for her. Great job LaKisha!

Top 7

LaKisha performed "Jesus Take The Wheel" by Carrie Underwood in tonights installment of American Idol Season 6. Martina McBride was guest musical coach. She was moved by LaKisha's performance during their one-on-one session. This song has special meaning to LaKisha on a personal and spiritual level.

She looked so great tonight wearing golden boots. She did well overall, however she's more accustomed to songs that are leaning towards powerhouse vocals. Country music is outside her comfort zone. And tonight she seemed to big for the song so she ended up sounding a little bit like oversinging the chorus to the point that it seemed like shouting.

I hope this performance will spare her the bottom three because she is really a phenomenal performer. Her past performances is a testament to that. Even Melinda Doolittle faltered a bit last week. It's hard to go on this show week-after-week and not stumble a little bit. Nevertheless, LaKisha is still a Top 3 contender.

Hope you all voted for her.

Top 8

Tonight Jennifer Lopez coached the eight remaining contestants. LaKisha performed "Conga" by Gloria Estefan. LaKisha asked Lopez for help on dancing to the song. Lopez said she don't have to move much just let the rhythm take care of that.

LaKisha's performance was awesome. She started off at the platform behind the judges. Her moves were suttle but was sexy. She did the song justice. Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul had positive comments about her performance except for Simon Cowell who wonders if the viewers had fun watching her perform.

I for one did had fun.

Tony Bennett coaches remaing nine finalist tonight. While preparing for her performance with guest star Bennett, he like her interpreation of her song choice and only pointed out to hit the high note towards the end of the song and hold onto it.

She sang "Last Dance" by Donna Summer. It was a fantastic performance. She looked so fabulous and won praise from the judges, except for Randy's small issue with her vocals at the beginning of the song.

Don't forget to keep on voting for LaKisha!

Diamonds Are Forever

LaKisha was right to ignore Lulu, who tried to talk her out of this song. Given a choice, LaKisha should always pick the more bombastic song, and Diamonds is a big flashy '60s showboat with tailfins. She still needs to work on her stage presence, but, outfitted in a million dollars' worth of diamonds, she sounds like at least half a million.
